Flashing Service Engine light.

I was driving when all if a sudden it started idleling rough and flashing Service.

So I read its misfiring and the most common issues are bad coils or spark wires. I went n bought both new, motorcraft, and the rough jolting diminished but its still there. I now read it could be the spark plugs or fuel injector. What do you guys think before I take it to a shop?

Maybe the O2 sensors, just try to replace it or just take it to the shop they can figure it out.

If its flashing you should stop driving it cause it usually means your cats are getting destroyed or contaminated or something else but either way it's not good

Yeah if it's more than one cylinder than look at a coil or even an O2 sensor for that cylinder bank but if it's only 1 cylinder than u have a spark plug, wire, or coil and try not to run it to much cause again you'll wipe out your cats

Ok its 9am. In going go buy all new plugs, motorcraft, and replace them. If it doesn't stop ill just take it in. I just hate it when they charge a lot for something semi simple

Damn so i replaced my plugs and the car is smooth as hell. The old plugs looked like they had gunk n carbon build.. I had just placed them in about 8 months ago though. Did I wait too long cause from what I heard is plugs usually are changed couple thousands of milea

I did them this time, last time I took them to a small local shop to get them installed.
