I have been looking through all the tuners offered for your new edge 3.8s really liking all that the Diablo Sport had to offer for the price .. SCT I've noticed don't do what it shows the Diablo Sport does .. I know I see BAMA and SCT on here lot people talk about from American Muscle .. Guess let me know y'alls opinion

SCT is a brand of tuner and AmericanMuscle/BamaTunes uses that brand to deliver/tune your vehicle.

Diablo is not nearly used as widley as SCT, SCT seems to have a better reputation as well. I would go with that brand tuner, but get a REAL tune not a can tune (aka off the shelf one size fits all)

Do the SCT has a EGR delete and all that jazz Diablo states it does couldn't find where SCT said it does.. And a custom tune not a can can tune is what I'm looking for I got a windstar upper I been waiting to put on mine but ain't figured out what to do bout the EGR valve and lines being in the way .. Unless I get a 1/2" - 1" spacer to take the upper above it all but I just got a cobra hood on mine so if I did that probably would have to change hoods again ?

a can tune will be any tune threw the mail, a real tune would be a dyno tune, but on a stockish sixer i wouldn't bother wasting the money for that

with the windstar swap you're suppose to swap out the bracket behind egr valve to the lower intake to drop it down, then you just cut and bridge the hardc copper line

of course the egr can be shut off without a problem just be sure to let the tuner know you deleted it (SCT, Diablo, whatever)

SCT has a lot better track record

and it can clear the factory hood with a remote mounted IAC just have to rig it up, which cobra hood would you happen to have? probably have enough room to mount the iac on top without any clearance issues

Re: Opinion on DiabloSport handheld flash/tuners

SCT can do it all. If dyno tunes are an option you may be interested in, check around your local Mustang shops, most use SCT.

Yeah I know a dyno tune is a waste of money on a stock v6 engine.. Mostly want one to re calibrate and flash computer .. Have a turbo kit waiting to be put on so a tune for it an for no rev limiter .. No speed limiter.. I did a rear end swap have a 8.8 w/355 gears and got 18's.. And it's a 2000 model cobra hood.. It's got the rounder shaped cowl than the GT's cowls

Can they only tune for specific intakes and exhausts? I have a DIY intake and a dunked exhaust with a glasspack, could they tune that? Or would it have to be specific like a "k&n intake" and "flow master duals"
