new brakes...

I just spent a good deal of cash on 4 new rotors and pads all around. They were good for a couple days but in the past 3 weeks they have been squeeling and giving off enough brake dust to coat the rims. This is why I got them replaced! Tired of people looking at me when I pull up to a stop. At least they're not grinding anymore. Any ideas to resolve the problem? Or will they just wear in eventually?

Re: new brakes...

what material are the pads made out of, did you remember to clean the rotors off with brake cleaner before install, and did you lube all the pins during reinstall?

Re: new brakes...

ok so check your paperwork from them...are they organic, semi-metalic, or ceremic....most likely organic since brake places like to be cheap but charge alot...can i ask why you didn't do it yourself?

I'm guessing they used semi-metallic pads due to sound, organic pads don't usually make noise unless improper install, most likely cheap pads die to heavy dusting, I like the ceramic and carbon metallic pads
