Removing 2 cats!!

I'm at the shop now having my mechanic remove 2 mid cats for now. Waiting to see how it sounds. The question I have for you guys is he is leaving the sensors on!!!! I thought it could be removed.I have a bama sct hand held tuner. Should I tell him to remove the sensors???? Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Removing 2 cats!!

I would leave them in. You can get an updated tune that basically tells the ECU everything is A-Okay with the rear O2 sensors. You could also buy MIL elliminators that do the same thing. Until then, you'll see the check eng light.

Supe01stang,

I would definitely leave the o2 bungs in. We can turn them off through your Bama Tuner. Just give my Bama team a call and they'll be able to hook you up!Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764!

I hope this helps!

I told them to turn mine off but they didn't, now I'm scared to call and get a new tune because I've heard of some tunes going wrong on this forums. Hmmph
