a TB spacer is a waste of money...honestly i'd just toss in a drop in K&N filter or buy a cheap AM brand CAI...then get the exhaust dualed out and see what you want out of the car

it's not ragging it's trying to help him understand it may just be the power he has not that it has any issues. i did say try a tune up so i do ask that you don't jump to conclusions

and that year would have the 5.0 if he had the GT model...and you're right clogged cats could affect his power...OP hows your mileage?

catalytic converts (cats) you have two warm up cats and two main cats. the honeycomb inside of them is used to clean the exhaust up before it leaves the car. Downside is they restrict exhaust flow and quiet down the car.

they can also deform and clog up and kill your power and mileage

Re: Lack of power

if they're clogged you can either take them out completely and have a shop weld in tubing (if you're in a non emissions area...although 99% of shops won't cut them off..you'd have to cut them beforehand)

or replace them...there is no cleaner to fix a clogged cat

Re: Lack of power

Nope once their clogged not much you can do,,If you look on the internet,,or someone on here may know,,but theres a vacuum test you can do,,to tell if they are clogged up..All you need is a vacuum gauge...Its a easy test,,but i cant remember what you look for....My sister has that 3.8,,it acually runs pretty good, its was a stick though..
