Interior dying questions.

Hello, everyone. My interior is the bland two tone black/gray. I was wanting to mix it up a little, maybe do the '95 black/red or black/black. Which do you prefer? And how could I dye my carpet? Kinda don't wanna shell out $100+ for a new piece when mine is just dirty, haha.

Also, how could I dye my dash without ripping it out? I don't plan on redoing the top black portions, just everything that is gray.

Re: Interior dying questions.

youll have to rip it all out for best results...the best redo i've seen was by a guy name Zat on Moddedmustangs.com

he painted his full grey interior black and dyed the carpet and seats black as well..i'd reccomend googling for his thread. he had a step by step with great pics

Re: Interior dying questions.

I've looked at his work, it's amazing! I think I might start dying panels. I'm really digging the black interior, but do think I could find paint that would match the dash black? Thank you, guys!

Re: Interior dying questions.

Zat used standard gloss duplicolor and a clear coat on his dash pieces and fabric/vinyl dye spray for the seats and carpet

The black/ red combo sound wicked .. JS.. If didn't wanna pull the dash out take out pillar trim mask down each side and across the back of dash between w/s and dash .. The more mashing and prep work you do the best result you'll get .. Like ^^ said adhesion promoter!! Using it paint won't come off
