1/8th mile vs 2012 auto camaro v6.

What would it take to beat it? I mean in general but let's take my car into example

I got CAI with a 93octane tune, short throw shifter(obviously my cars a standard), flow master's turned down.

What else would it take for me to beat a 12 camaro in a 1/8th mile? I know thee newer muscle cars are faster at higher speeds than starting off. I'm in a new edge and weigh a good bit less then the fat things.

Gears would def help. Take out your passenger seat, rear seat, spare tire and jack and run less than a half a tank of fuel if you want a no money alternative. Put your rear tire psi around 20-25.

Re: What would it take?

Yah your v6 is probably a upper mid to high 15's car right now, with the fluctuation from upper mid to high based on your shifting abilities.

The only way to shave off damn near a second or more would be to do some engine work or low boost. Weight reduction, tires and bolt ons help some, but I don't think you're going to see those times with just those things done, but I could be wrong.

I didn't think the newer cars were THAT much faster. That's too bad.

Re: What would it take?

4:10 gears, lower intake spacer, underdrive pulleys, all that & what you already have taken to a premiere Mustang shop for a dyno tune. Then you may get closer. Probably not.
