Windstar intake second thoughts

At first I didn't want the wind star intake bc I like my k&n intake, but now I found a way I can have both. Question now is - is Vap still selling them?

Check out this picture that gave me the k&n / windstar conversion

Re: Windstar intake second thoughts

VAP isnt discontinued, hes just no longer selling the prefabbed kits. You'll have to scrap one yourself, but as far as i'm aware hes still selling some of the custom components individually to help you out.

Re: Windstar intake second thoughts

I broke a bunch of my bolts putting mine on so i used stock ones with some thick washers to make up the difference.

@ blackedout just as an FYI I'm sure you already know this but adding one 90 degree bend to you intake is like adding three feet of tubing

Re: Windstar intake second thoughts

Extending wires is easy, just a stripper and some connectors. The hardest part for me was the vacuum tubes, just make sure you label where everything came from.

Re: Windstar intake second thoughts

The vap intake is so much better than that.

Even better would be running a straight pipe into the fender with the filter inside.
