Re: What do you like most about your V6?

Well, I have a 1997 White V6 Vert. I bought it 2 months ago for my first car, it runs great and looks cool! Sounds good, even though stock exhaust, lol... Still needs a bit of work, but I'm getting there!

Re: What do you like most about your V6?

the back is sooooo much easier then the fronts....here's literally all you have to do (i use two jacks for the rear

-put the back end of the car up on jack stands (use the lift points not the rear)
-put a jack under the rear end so that the diff settles on it
-take off the wheels and unbolt the calipers
-unbolt the rear shocks (two bolts each)
-slowly lower the rear down using the jack under the diff

the reason for the second jack is to make the pulling out of the springs easier

-slide the 2nd jack under one brake assembly and jack it up quite a bit lowering the other side
-pull the spring and cut it...reinstall and lower the jack that's lifting the other side
-do the same for the other side then reverse the unbolting steps

i use an angle grinder with either a metal or bi-metal cutting wheel. as for too much..in a normal spring i'd cut a coil off the back..since you have lowering springs i'd start with half a coil at a time. i hate to say do that then see how it sits and cut more as needed, but since the spring rate is different you might want to take your time and do it that method
