Manual to Auto - Information please

Let me begin by saying hello to all I'm new to the these forums. My stangs - 00 Black V6 & 11 Kona Blue V6

I just got done pulling the org 3.8/manual trans I'm going to be installing a 03 3.8/auto over the weekend, From what I understand it should be pretty straight forward since the wire harness's should be the same. I'm not looking to change out any of the harness's unless the procedure calls for it.

I've already changed over the gauge cluster, ECU & Ignition Cylinder so I won't have any issue with the PATS system.

Also I would like to keep my clutch assembly in the car but am unsure of how to bypass the neutral safety switch (write up on how to would be great).

Thank you for taking the time to read and for your 2 cents on this. I'm not sure if this will be a straight forward conversion or if I'm missing anything. If I am.. please let me know

If your keeping the clutch pedal in there,,I think you should be able to push that pedal down,,and keep it the way it is,,you may have to put a return spring on the pedal so it will come up,,or you may be able to tie it down that way it would keep the clutch switch closed and that would bypass it,,not sure if it would work,,just brainstorming

Well besides letting the pedal sink to the floor - How would I go about doing the bypass with the wires? Also do I have everything with the swap down or is there more I need to know?

Ther should be a switch behind the clutch that when the clutch is depressed its activated. Im not sure the style of the switch you have. But all you have to do is cut and splice the two wires together.

Yup ive had to do it to a couple of the focus's i had. The clutch gets abused at the track. They would break off and id just splice them together.

Alright well I got the engine & trans in tonight.. This is actually going alot smoother then I thought it would.

By the way thank you for putting up with the noob questions. This is the first time in my 22 years of life that I've done a car solo ( without family help )
