Depends on condition of the car but seems like normal price for a car with 162k on it. Enjoy.

I had the chance to get a GT slightly modified for 2500$ but it has a salvage title.

i don't mess with salvaged titles...my last stang was a GT and it wasn't salvaged but it had been in an accident before i bought it. i've never had so many issues out of a car

Yah good call passing on that salvage titled GT...even for 2500 you could be in it twice that if it has problems.

First thing I would do if you haven't already is a complete maintenance overhaul. Plugs, oil, filters, check vaccuum pressure, check for leaks, check exhaust, check tires, brakes, suspension, possibly run some seafoam or cleaner thru to remove carbon deposits and gunk. Get her running strong before spending money on mods. No point in making it look good if it can't even get out of the driveway.

Oh and welcome! Post pics when you can!

I was tempted for a while to buy that stang but I decided that for be a v8 and salvage it wasn't a good deal because a v8 is for mods and power and a salvage doesn't worth it

Yep but I have a friend who have a cobra svt 04 engine, trainny and ECU and he would sell me those things for 3 grands but I'm not sure if it worth and I got another friend who can install them for 500 bucks I'm not sure if that is a good idea but I would love to supercharge that stang the performance of a v8 with the mpg of a v6, and iepp ima post photos soon

If you can get a 03/04 Cobra drivetrain that's in good shape for 3k do it. Lowest I've seen a complete package like that was around 10k. That 3k almost sounds too good be true lol.

You would definitely want the bigger cobra brakes and the 8.8" rear to suppport that extra power. A suspension upgrade wouldn't hurt either.

You'd be better off with the 4v from the cobra since it's forged from the factory, much better platform to work off then running 6-8 lbs of boost on your stock v6 internals and risking it. Not to mention a pulley swap, intake, exhaust and tune on that 4v will get you numbers you won't see with a low boost app to a near stock 3.8.

Its a very good deal, congratulations! Especially if it has a clean title, Ive also got 2006 V6 and got it quite cheaply but I bought it on this website so it had a salvage title and I needed some repairs to be done. But all in all Im satisfied.

I purchased a 99 v6 auto with 115k miles for a $100 dollar bill..clean title, no accidents. Previous owner was so sure it was on its last legs for some reason? drove it for 3 years with just putting new tires/brakes/and rotors, after 3 years needed a new rear end differential...man did I literally steal that car back in the day..bought it for a 100$ bill, put practically no money into it, and sold it for like $500 as a donor for a buddy's crashed GT..
