Re: bought lowering springs!

Spring installs are a breeze in most cases...just have a set of wrenches, a prybar or big flat head, and a can of pb blaster

Re: bought lowering springs!

The SVE's sit low. Might run out of Camber. All depends on what else is installed too. I heard great things about those springs, for the price.

Just some new CC (caster/camber) plates will solve that problem

Not sure about the 6's but mine is lowered at least 1.5" and I have maximum Motorsports 4bolt CC plates and mine can't be aligned 100% perfect even with the plates. Has bump steer, needs x2's and bump steer kit to be aligned perfect.
Been driving on the same tires a year now and they look and feel fine but my car tracks left and right at times.

I'm not happy with the drop the sve springs gave my car. I want lower. Thinking about cutting some off the new springs. They advertise them bn a 2" drop but that's meant for a v8

mine are an 1.50 in the front and an 1.25 in the back. But I think they might have been the wrong springs they sent me. and it might drop it lower.

give it a few weeks to let the springs settle before you align it...might i reccomend letting them leave it in the negative a degree or two if you're wanting something that hits the corners better...if you like straight lines 0 camber is best.

Re: bought lowering springs!

Suspension work takes lots of research. I saved for 2 years, got the parts, then installed all at once. Time consuming, expensive, but the pay off is so great. It makes for a much safer car at high speeds. The V8 is 100lbs heavier. To get what I needed, I had to get the C/C plates, X2 balljoints, bumpsteer kit, along with shocks/struts and springs. Maximum Motorsports sold me the CC plates and bumpsteer kit. I cut one full coil in front, one 1/2 coil in rear.

Re: bought lowering springs!

Good street alignment 1 degree of negative camber, caster 4-5 degrees and toe at 0.

Not simple at all. FastLane will be doing my entire swap on this particular project.

Talking Re: bought lowering springs!

Bumpsteer kit, 1994-04 Mustang, tapered-stud style [MMTR-4] : Maximum Motorsports, the Latemodel Mustang Performance Suspension Leader!
C?C platers & bumpsteer kit from MM. Steeda has that great X2 balljoint. Geta ll the parts and take it to your Mustang shop for alignment, NOT Midas or Minokee, goofy places. You'll love it. REMEMBER, A soft comfortable ride is a result of the rear progressive rates. Daily drivers want a low, softer number.

So I attempted to do the lowering springs and I'm still not done we had to undo the whole A frame and drop the shock in order to get the new spring in. Is there an easier way?????
