| Horrible head lights
Have really bad headlights on my 03 v6. The plastic is scratched and worn. What can I do to get brighter headlights?

well you can sand them with something like a 3m or sylvania headlight kit...it's about as good as it gets besides replacing your housings...
as for just making your overall lights brighter...grab some HIDs from here http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit
the $30 kit is what i normally run in any of my stangs and i think it looks pretty good...and no i don't get flashed...i have them aligned pretty well i think

Spray Black Magic Tire Wet onto your headlight plastic lenses.
If you have a few minutes and some elbow grease, use a mild rubbing compound first, then the tire wet spray.
I've had great results with this technique.
Let us know if you try it.

So has anyone tried just sanding them down and putting a couple layers of quality clear on their head light? Cuz I wanna re-do mine and that's how I was gonna go about it.

I just wet sand them with 800, 1200, 2000 then hit them with rubbing compound. Wax as you would the car and continue to wax them to prevent further damage.
Never had an issue with blurring or such. Plus...it's legal unlike hid's

however i'm more then happy to run all of those things.
your cleaning method though is the best way to do it. Same grits that come in a cleaning kit. my rubbing compound of choice is meguiars scratch x

For my headlights all I've used is a 3" buffing pad and turtle wax, put a little pressure behind it and 30 minutes later there clear like new. I ha to dremel off the nipples on the headlights tho (SN95). Also wondering, where are HID's illegal ? Window tint I can understand.. I've had my 10k HID's for about a tr & a half now. Had my 5% tint all around for about 2 years and not one ticket/warning or complaint about it..

Honestly i've run them on every car i've owned with no issue. I have had cops compliment my HIDs though
and yeah i enjoy 5%. My GT had that and i miss the darkness since my v6 only has 15%.

Very true... I've given up on window tint though. All my cars are legal tint in this state. Federal emissions laws are a different story however...

I have to tint my side windows still but my rear window was tinted when I got it and I hate how dark it is. At night it is impossible to see out of lol. I can only back up if I use my side mirrors

Any windshield tint is illegal in NY. And they will ticket you for it. I was once pulled over at 11:30 at night in my stepdads GMC Sierra 1500 for window tint. How can you tell if tint is too dark at night? YOU CAN'T!!! F*** NY traffic laws

Yeah I think it's illegal everywhere. I have been pulled over a few times and gotten warnings. I got one ticket and I'm like, "Psh, I'll pay $50 to keep my tint." Besides, the police gotta stay funded somehow |

Can hid headlights go into projector housings, and if so can they still be the same bulb(9007)?

From what I hear the HID bulbs are to long for aftermarket projector housings. I have heard talk about shorter HID bulbs you can buy but I'm not sure if its legit. Unless there is a aftermarket set up that works, I seriously hope there is, then you gotta make do with super bright halogens. Another concern is the HID bulbs get to hot for the projector housing too so idk

it has to be an HID projector...standard projectors will actually lose output with HIDs
