Guys! He is just sayin with a new cam you gotta give the internals a little TLC also. So when you install the new cam, give it a fresh coat of plastiDip. Get an extra can, put half in the oil and run the other half thru the intake to give everything a nice coat

Re: new cam?

Cam making pistons work harder?

Blow a piston from a cam swap?

What kind of junk are you reading, the ONLY way you mess up a motor with a cam swap is PTV issues. 99.9% of v6 owners won't get close to even having to check for PTV.

Cam & Tune = done.
cam & heads & intakes = more hp = done

Hell people are running H/C/I and 100shot of nitrous on stock bottom end Daily Drivers , weekly and car hasn't blown up.

I don't think a cam and a fast90 on an LS1 with a tune would make 70rwhp, let alone a 2v gt!

K who are we kidding, LS1's gods motor of course it will but a 2vGT
NAH!

Seen it happen plenty of times. You forget these 2vs barely push like 225-230rwhp. It's easy to hit "big" increases.

230 + 70 = 300rwhp.

I don't see many 300rwhp n/a 2v gt's

He said
cam
&
intake manifold
only.

Of course the TF heads and bolts on and cams and a tune will do it.

A cam will NOT cause a motor to blow ( as long as its not so big it makes a valve slap a piston it turns over ). A cam does not increase compression so therefor it does not put more stress on the rotating assembly. You could cam a 50 cc lawn mower and it will not change the short blocks life whatsoever... Now the VALVE-TRAIN is a whole 'nother animal. A more aggressive cam can wear out STOCK springs and lifters pre-maturely.
