Beating a dead horse.

Ok, I have been reading the 4.2 swap thread and this is what I have come to conclude. I can use the 4.2 from any 97-08 F-150, 97–05 E-150, 97–05 E-250, 04–07 Freestar. What I also found is that my year model is lucky to have a mid year change in harnesses. My questions are now as follows.

1. Is my current info correct?
2. When did they change the harness and how do I check if mine is one or the other?

Re: Beating a dead horse.

motor selection is correct, however a harness change will not bother you since the blocks will be exactly the same and you swap over your oil pressure sending unit and shouldn't have any trouble using the crank position sensor on the new motor

since your car (assuming your screen name means you have a 2000) is of the wrong era you also have some other parts to gather from a 01-04 stang

Re: Beating a dead horse.

go look at the thread again, it gives a detailed list of what you need to get on the very first post specifically for your year model
