map lights

so i was driving around my neighbor hood last night with my aunt who wanted to see my car so i took her around the block and i hit a bump and my map lights go on and wont go off till the button is in the middle which before it was to the left where it shut off at and so this morning i go to see what happend and i push the buttons to the right they turn on like theyer supposed to and then i push them to the left and i looked like they were shutoff but they wernt so i just left them like that because it looked like they were off but when i come home from the freshman football game i went to go take my stereo face off and the lights didnt turn on but the dinger turn on and so i put the key in and my battery is dead but the ding stops wont even show warning light i know the battery is dead but what is keeping these stupid lights on

Don't take the fuse out, the fuse that that light is attached to is also attached to the door chime and the locks.
