I personally think 5hp right now is stretching it, usually at most you'd just get better throttle response. To answer your second question, yes, a chip(or tune) from AM programmed with your CAI on there will get you gains around the 5hp. Assuming the rest of your car is in good working order and is tuned up(fresh plugs, oil, etc). Also make sure to treat you air filter at every oil change. Get a K&N recharge kit. It will have filter cleaner and filter oil. Follow the directions to get the most power and keep the most crap outta your motor.

im guessing a 2ish hp gain but still every extra pony is good right. it's more of a visual mod when you pop the hood. a bit of throttle response and a couple mpg gain is usual as well. as for the chip i'd skip it and research an SCT handheld

2000v6Stang,

I see a lot of great information is being tossed around, let me try and clear things up.

A CAI on a v6 may not give you a TON of power, but it will definitely give you a power increase, throttle response, sound and some killer engine bay styling! When you pair up a CAI and a Bama Tune you'll definitely notice a big difference. The more mods you have the better the gains will be obviously!

Depending on your modification you could see a 10-15RWHP gain through out the Curve. Give my Bama team a call and they'll give you the run done on what Bama has to offer you!

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
