Muffler on v6?

I have a 99 v6 and im planning on getting two mufflers. Do they need to be offset or centered? And as far as piping goes, does a larger pipe make a deeper sound?

The stocker is offset/offset so I'm sure both will be.

A larger exhaust tip will amplify sound a bit but bigger piping doesn't. In fact bigger piping can hurt your low rpm power. I, personally, will run dual exhaust with 2 1/4 pipe. The kits online are 2 1/2 but its the same size as the v8 kits so I'm pretty sure they just sell gt kits labeled for a v6. With mufflers it's all preference.

i've run both offset/offset and offset/center...doesn't really matter the exhaust shop can work with anything. muffler choice is all up to you...go to youtube and listen to different clips....as for tubing 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 doesn't matter..i've run both and they feel the same on the road
