I would expect another 40,000 depending on how well it has been taken care of its entire life.

A member of these forums named Robb has a 98? And he has 300k on stock motor/trans.

Mine has 141k and is faster than it was brand new holding up great!

Our 3.8's are great motors and will last a good many miles. Very reliable.

those motors are good when taken care of, if neglected dont blame the motor for going out.

coolant change, trans fluid changed, fuel filter, oil change regularly? all that stuff takes its toll if you dont do it you hurt the life of the car
