What year of Cobra? I believe the 99-04 Cobra with IRS has a bearing and gasket in the hub...

My stangs not a cobra. She's a 94 v6. There is oil all over the rotor and dripping down the tire. 1 mechanic that looked at my stang said that the axle is leaking, but another says its brake fluid, even though my car brakes like usual. Ik the diff is leaking and I need a gasket for that.

Sorry... your name says Cobra, so I assumed cobra...

Sounds like brake fluid to me... Just check your lines and your bleeder screw to make sure everything is attached correctly, then check the lines themselves to be sure that they don't need replaced.

Ad if your diff is leaking.. get that fixed ASAP... you don't want to be driving if your differential goes dry

lol... good luck with that... I use to have a 98 V6... dumped like $5k into that thing and it was still WAY slower than my Cobra... So when you get that 3.8 over 600 HP, let me know

Get that thing under 11 seconds in the 1/4 and it'll be worth my time...

Here's a Video of my old V6 so you can get some ideas for yours.

It has Pacesetter Longtubes, Mac O/R H pipe, Flowmaster 44's, FRPP T LOCK, 3.73 gears, Ported Intakes, BBK TB, Custom CAI, UDP's, 19# injectors, Screamin' Deamon coil pack, MSD wires, Iridium IX plugs, Eibach Racing Springs, HDX stage 2 clutch and flywheel, BFGoodrich Radial T/A KDW tires, and 93 Octane Race Tune.

Still only had 230 HP, and ran 15's at the 1/4 mile
Stock these cars are 150 hp, and run like 20 seconds 1/4 mile

If you ever have any questions, let me know and I'd be glad to help. The V6 is getting the Supercoup M90 SC at the moment. Should get it pretty close to 330 HP on 9# of boost...

Working on V6 mustangs is fun... but the V8's will always be a step ahead... Just don't turn it into a ricer! haha

and if you think you'll get power "above a cobra's"... then don't bother fixing that V6's 7.5" rear end... won't hold anything over 500 HP... just get an 8.8" off a GT.

My stang has a 10bolt rear. What does the cobra have? Is the 8:8 a 10 bolt also?

The Ford 7.5 and 8.8 are 10 bolt rear ends... The 7.5 is just what is on the v6... 8.8 is on the gt, and 8.8 IRS is on the SVT Cobra...

The term "10 bolt" is a Chevy thing.

Oh ok. How much power can the 8:8 handle?

As much as you can throw at it. They are virtually indestructible. Ford v8 rear ends are the choice among many hot rod builders because of the beating they can take

You said you had fluid running down the back of the tire,,just wipe it with your finger,,differeintial fluid def has a different smell than brake fluid,,plus its real thick by comparison
