Help please!

Will this muffler fit on a stock 96 v6 exhaust? It's 2.25" diameter for the inlet an outlet.

Ok, thank you! Will it be easy to install? Do I need a welder? Or can I do it just bolt or clamp on?

I think you have to weld it since you're going to need to take off the stock one

Oh, ok. Cause I'm I'm a mechanics class and I am bringing my car into the class tomorrow and I have the option to bring the muffler and put it on, but the welder that we have at the shop will blow a circuit so we can't use a welder.

Took the muffler to a shop and they said it won't work, they can't install it.

that shop is full of idiots...go to another shop. believe us we all run the same thing you have in that picture...the only thing they will have to do is cut out your old muffler...add a small extension pipe because the oem muffler is really long...weld it up and you're done.

and yes i've run that exact offset before as well...the center end was the outlet. in fact that looks like a thrust welded series muffler. which is a two chamber design. honestly i'm laughing at that shops techs that said no
