EGR delete!?

Can I expect any gains or loses in deleting the EGR, besides looks and getting headers with no egr valve??

it doesn't do much except when your idling and driving in cities. I say get rid of it. It pumps already burnt exhaust gas into your intake.
It's like eating your own ****... or breathing in your own farts.

oh something I did to delete mine was I used pennies to block them off. It literally cost a little more than 2 cents. I put one in the header and one in the pump and used some stuff my dad had to seal them in. I think it was JB weld. You still have the ugly pump though.
You could probably just get a flat piece of metal, cut it to the right size and drill two holes in it and just bolt down to where the pump use to be. probably use some form-a-gasket to seal it tight.

I don't think the EGR delete it's self needs a tune.
Except to turn off the check engine light. Mine says the EGR is malfunctioning. NO **** I blocked it off with two pennies lol.

i hear bad things about pacestetter but everyone seems to be getting them so i guess they are worth it because i wanted mac long tubes just because its mac lol but i found my egr delete plate on Mustang Parts & Performance - UPR Products spend like 20 i think cuz of shipping and i still have the cap that came with the aftermarket header from auto zone so i can just take off the tube from the header and cap it good luck bro

you can delete EGR without a tune but it will throw a code because your CPU will think its not working. I deleted mine a while back just to clean up the engine bay and make it easier to work on. now that i have a sct i was able to turn off egr.

wow that's a big picture how do you reduce it

Yea well idk what i did to the cluster a while back and well now the check engine light doesnt come on anymore so no worries just need to snip the connections for the egr because all i did was roll it up and tape it lol

Will I need to remove my upper intake to take all of the egr parts off?

Nope use a vise grip to turn the nut lose on the header or remove the whole manifold to do it easier lol and a 8 and 10 mili socket to remove bolts to bracket to egr and the smaller on the lower bracket
