V6 upgrades

What can I do to make my v6 mustang faster without buying anything? Any tweaks I could do? Anything cheap? Just something I can do right now while I'm free?

there's a tab at the base of the wiper arms...that's the release...so take the arms off and then put them back on but lower down...it's a little differences but makes a big impact.

as for mods what's your budget

buy a tuner...really best bang for the buck besides gears...and well you'll need a tuner to recalibrate after a gear swap so might as well get it now

Nitrous is best bang for the buck IMO... 50 hp out of 500 bucks... Tell me something else that offers that performance?

if on sale gears and a tune...your car will feel like it got 50 ponies easily...not only that but the power you already have is hitting the ground nicer

i will never tell someone that their first mod should be nitrous

Ya until the bottle runs out!.. OP said his budget is $500, so that leads me to think he don't have a the cash to keep refilling the bottle!.. Not to mention that its illegal to use out on the street!..

I say get a tuner, especially if your an auto!..

Still for your budget I would get a tuner first!.. You'll still see some nice gains, plus with any and all future mods you can adjust your tune accordingly and maximize them!..

Lol. They are idiot proof!.. Just follow the directions from the device!.. Plus if you get one from AM with the free BAMA tunes deal, all you have to do then is tell BAMA what your newest mod is and they'll redo a tune for you!..

How come no ones mentioned the air-intake silencer?
If you remove that it's suppose to make a noticeable increase in throttle response. I think thats what they said. I took mine out when I was rebuilding it as a 4.2 stroker. So I don't know. I guess I could put it back on and see if it makes it slower.

yeah you can pull that off..mix that with a high flow filter and your oem intake will do the same thing as a CAI.

no you'll never notice the difference...in fact i'm only running 18" blades on my car when the oem is 20" (got them for free lol so i don't mind)...and honestly i don't even notice the 2" difference (i know that's what she said)

How would I remove the silencer on the intake?

Pop your hood and look at your airbox...there is a black rubber tube running from your box into the fender...there is a screw in the firewall...undo it and then pull the silencer off.

If you want cheap visual mods, buy the mustang inserts for the rear bumper. They really make a huge difference for under $10

You can adjust the angle of your wipers by pulling a tab on the bottom of the wiper and pull up on the wiper and it's off. Then you can adjust the angle at which you want it to sit at
