Exhaust

Would it be bad to take the cats off on a 2000 mustang v6 and not replace it with anything? Just clean out the cats so that nothing's in there?

like gutting them? I'd put in some pipe instead of the cats if you can afford to do so. i say if you can afford to do because the shop i went to charged me extra to do that. So i got them taken them and replaced with piping. But it won't be bad for the car. Only thing you'd have to worry about is passing inspection. That's if your state or county allows that.
