Good, and cheap generally don't belong in the same sentance. However a quality setup can be had for a decent price. Let's start with what you are wanting to do? Are you doing a dual conversion, or just replacing the stock single setup?

Thrush Welded is a great brand for cheap. it's a two chamber design which in all honesty sounds like a flow 40. you can buy two for the price of one 40 series in fact at most any auto parts store

To save on cost you can find some used GT tailpipes from either a salvage yard or craigslist (alot of guys have luck with CL for this since GT owners love to upgrade too)

Midpipe choices are up to you. now you can keep the stock y pipe, but back to being honest it just doesn't sound good. So at the minimum most will say get a divorced setup (which means one pipe for each manifold side). other midpipes include h, x, and prochamber...check out youtube for vids and see what sounds good for you

Northern Middle TN...my last setup the shop charged me $50 a tailpipe..then $50 in labor...the mufflers i brought myself ($39 thrush welded series), and the midpipe i had too which i bought used on CL....i've now used this shop on my last 9 exhausts lol

then again the most expensive shop i've found wanted around $400 here...i think location makes a difference when it comes to exhausts
