My coolant cap

Was driving yesterday when I noticed my car started to smoke under the hood, at the time o freaked so I jumped out the car and opened my hood, turned out my coolant cap came off and it was spilling all over my engine! Do I need to buy a new cap or should I just buy a new coolant tank

You jumped out of the car? D: how did you catch up to your car after you jumped out? Nah just joking. But I think a new cap, and if it does it again, then a new tank. But I'm no expert

Have you messaged with it before that happened. I would say new cap also.

Buy new coolant tank. You never know if something might be wrong with it as well, especially if the cap popped off like that. Check it to see if you see anything wrong with it, but I wouldn't just buy the cap.

Was your cap still there or lost it? Have you recently messed with it.

However, buying a cap and if anything else happens, buying a tank is good too. I just wouldn't wanna take the risk of that happening for a second time and somehow things going wrong. But I guess that might be me just being pessimistic. Lol.

Lol I didn't Jump out when it was moving, I've never messed with cap b4 but I think one time, someone took it off and put it back on, I'm not sure but yeah, I think I just get the whole tank, just in case

Well they may have not put it on there right. But if getting a new tank isn't a hassle then go for it!
