SR lowering Springs

Just ordered a set from AM for $105 thanks to their christmas code and holiday pricing...3 day shipping for $1 which is great...i'll post pics of the install...may do a picture write up to add to our sticky section if anyone wants. This will give me a good chance to take my stockers and cut them down for track season next summer. pics will come soon though..just thought i'd let you all know of the good pricing they have right now

i bought the ones for a GT...i know it won't give the exact 1.5" drop they claim but i'll pull the ISOs when i install them so that should make the difference. the original is $180

That's with them, I'm running 245/40/17 tires so they're a little shorter than the stock ones

Isolators, help keep noise down. I left mine in, some take em out. Leaving em in kept my 2" drop at 1.75-1.85 which worked perfect for me.

so does pulling them mean taking them out? is that bad for the car?

No its not bad...and yeah i always remove them. Pointless rubber lol...the only time.youll hear spring creak with them gone is on speed bumps. Wrap the spring ends with electrical tape if you want thatll keep the creak from happening.

No, its not bad. But sometimes with them out you can get sqeaks from the springs in their seats. Some dont have an issue, I have a little noise that I didnt care for so I put them back in. Worked out perfect with my drop and gave me the perfect stance.

No springs are a cake walk...average time it takes me to pull a set to cut and reinstall is an hour...im guessing ill have these sr springs done in a bit less. Should be here tomorrow if shipping works out.

are your current springs just the stock ones? do you need any kind of alignment afterwards?

Hey slo how hard would it be for just an average guy to install a set of springs like these? Also is a alignment necessary after install? Really want to drop my 02 about an inch or two.

It's really easy, you don't need a spring compressor either, took me about 3 1/2 hours. But i took my time because it was my first time, but it's really not that hard
