Rear caliper

I had my driver side caliper break off while I was driving today. Any ideas why this would happen?

Thanks, I'm gonna take the wheel off in the morning. It's pretty much totaled but I want to know why.

When you install the new caliper check to see if the bracket is in need or replacement too.
