5.0 bolt to a 3.8 manual trans?

I gotta 2000 3.8 v6 I wanna do a 5.0 swap but was woundering if the manual 3.8 trans would bolt up to the 5.0? Also what's the best year model to get a 5.0 out of?

Yes it will bolt up just fine. If your not worried about boosting it a 93-02 5.0 will do fine. If you plan on some FI 87-92 mustangs have the forged pistons.

Its not a straight forward bolt up. You are going to need the 5.0 manual bell housing fly wheel and clutch set. The flywheel is larger on a 5.0 so it sets the starter lower on the bell housing

94-95 sn95 came with 5.0. So there's no fitment issues
