Steering Wheel Controls

I had an accident in my car about a year ago and my air bags went off. Insurance fixed it and since then neither my honk or cruise control have worked. I'd like to fix these two things. What parts do I need to replace or how do I go about fixing.

Re: Steering Wheel Controls

hmm, honk and cruise control isn't working? Well, first, I believe cruise control should be connected to some wiring inside the steering column, may want to check to see if that has been connected. As for the horn... I'm not to sure on that one.

Re: Steering Wheel Controls

Anyone know how to open up the steering wheel and know what to look for inside?

Re: Steering Wheel Controls

Please do not try and do this yourself. You don't want to set off your air bag. Even with the battery unplugged there's still a good chance you can deploy your airbag by accident if you mess with the wiring in the steering column. It may be a simple connection failure in the column. I would check the horn on the car and see if there's any connections missing or loose.

Let your insurance company know that your car isn't fixed... it's really not safe driving around with no horn.
