stock tranny in 96 gt

What tranny is in a 95 stock 6 auto and the 96 gt 5 speed and would the 5 speed b a direct bolt up to the 6

It's a 4 speed auto. 4rw70.
T5 is the manual 5 speed.

Actually, that may still be the aode auto...not sure

I'm 99% sure its an aode trans. As for the swap, it will be cheaper to sell the auto v6 and buy a manual 6 or gt.

I can get the 96 w every totaled for a couple hundred bucks and ill do the work myself just wasent sure if the 5speed would bolt up to the 6 so I can rebuild the 8

If its the 5.0 gt then I believe the trans will bolt up not 100% tho. I think the 3.8 and the 5.0 have the same bolt pattern for trans
