Most people get the SCT tuner with BAMA tunes from AM, they are good with tuning and also offer the free lifetime tunes with the tuner.

Yea I use American muscle for my parts and I've seen the sct with them but I wasn't sure if there was anything better out there. My Stang has 150k miles so performance wise I don't want to push it to much haha

I know I'm new over here but I have a locked SCT Livewire for sale over on 3.8mustang forum. I was gonna get it unlocked and use it for my twin turbo kit but my local tuner doesn't use Sct

I have a diablo and I like it, but if you are planning on doing anything big like major internal work like stroking and valves as well as forced induction or nitrous, it probably isn't going to work. If you are just doing simple bolt ons then it is probably what you are looking for.

Are you going to be getting a custom tune? If so, speak to the shop you are going to use and find out if they tune for either Diablo or SCT and buy accordingly. For canned tunes, same applies. Decide on a company like Bama or other and buy the tuner they tune for.
Hope that helps.

The diablo made my car feel almost like a different car. When I first plugged it in I didn't really notice anything when just cruising around on the city streets but once I took it on the highway and stepped on it I noticed a big difference, as well as my gas milage got a little better too.

I use the SCT tuner as well, but use Punch it Performance to write my tunes.

Oh yes! I have another sct tuner on my truck tuned by Punch it Performance. Gained a few mpg's in both, and a definite difference in power.

My explorer is a 98 eddiebaur with the 5.0. It gets 18-20 around town and 25 on the highway. SCT 87 street tune on non ethanol.

My 5-speed mustang gets about 23-25 around town and 29-30 highway. Its got o/r h pipe, flowmaster 40's, cai, sct 93 race tune on non ethanol fuel.

Same price as american muscle. 379.99 and comes with life time tunes. Talk with mike if you use punch it. SCT when I called them recommended punch it as the best place for tunes.

They are so great Im going to order a third one for my wifes new Taurus this weeked.

So buy it from punch it? Or from American muscle and then talk with punch it and contact mike?

I bought mine from punchit. They wrote the tunes, and sent them to me very quick. 3-4 days from when I called I had both of my tuners in my hand. Give them a call if you like 1-407-221-9381.

When ive needed my tunes updated, he has been very fast at getting them emailed back to me, usaully same day.
