Car wont idle

I have a 1997 v6 5speed with 130000. Lately it's been really shakey, and would occasionally die when coming to a stop, then yesterday it started to die everytime I came to a stop. So I first cleaned the maf and iac. There was no change so then I replaced the iac, still no change. After I took the new one back off I turned it on with no iac and it idled, although very roughly. Help please

1st Check your battery cables, make sure they are not corroded.
2nd Check your air filter, most important because most tune up places won't change.
3rd Check spark plug caps, make sure they are not corroded.
4th Alternator
5th fuel lines for leaks
LASTLY, it could be the TB, it may be dirty.

start it up then spray around the engine bay in light sprays of starting fluid...use it to pin point if there's a leak..you'll know if you have one because the idle will change big time when starting fluid gets pulling into the line.

but from the sounds of it i'm thinking it's more a fuel issue...whether that's an upstream o2 forcing it to run lean, fuel filter clogged, or bad sending unit in the pump i can't be sure since i'm not there
