In California, high flow cats are usually illegal unless they are the 50 state ones from magnaflow. Your local exhaust shop will know all the laws.

You can buy em directly from mac as well, thats where I just got mine, though looking at am, I spent more buying direct. Go with AM. Prochambers are one of the greatest exhaust innovations ever!

The v8 one is right because technically the setup is for a v8 not a v6

Yep. If they say they cant do it then its not a shop you should let work on your mustang anyway.
