I am wanting to run straight pipes in place of my cats with a MIL Eliminator so the check engine light doesn't come on and decrease performance what do you all think? Any suggestions?
Yeah I'm just trying to figure out what a good excuse is when I get pulled over say I have long headers or something since the check engine light will be off the put the cats on again before my next smog check.
You can clamp on some heat shields around the exhaust so it looks like there are cats down there so when they check for codes and look under the car you will pass the visual test
my setup: no cats divorced duals flowmaster catback. love the sound. but before I had an H pipe, and it feels like my car lacks power now but with the H pipe it made it quieter but it felt like it had more power than it does now.
Here in California some cops are know to check for cats if they pull you over for a loud exhaust and if your check engine light is on.
And yeah I have heard you loose some torque but nothing too noticeable and with a h-pipe I shouldn't lose the torque right??
