Fuel line sn95 new edge

Okay so some of you know that in swapping out an sn95 single port 3.8 engine out of a '97 shell and installing a newer '02 split port 3.8 engine. I've got the engine almost ready and I'm installing the newer fuel lines now. But I was wondering about the complete fuel line. It has three lines. One is the normal fuel line, the other is the return and the little black one is?? I thought it was just a piece of pipe to strengthen the line but I cut some an liquid came out. I checked my New edge and it seems to be a brake line. The sn95 already has all the break lines intact and the brakes work fine. So I just wanted to know before I hacked off the "brake" line because the plastic holding together the lines is a pain to open up so I'd rather saw it off

If the brakes work on the sn95 I can't see why you would need this extra line. It should work without any problems. I would ask a mechanic though this is something I would not want to trial and error on.

That's the problem though I don't know whether its a brake line or not. The '97 has one like it already and there is no place to connect the black line anywhere on the chassis or the motor. I would probably have to go to to a salvage yard and check it out if no one knows. But the people who got the fuel lines clipped off the black hoses so they're pretty much useless I think.

It sounds like a useless part to me only meant for the new edge body style and not meant for the sn95. The only way to find out is put everything on and see what happens, if everything works then good but if something is wrong well you will have to look into it.

Okay so I went to the salvage yard this morning and checked out the line. Turns out it is the brake line for the New Edges. The sn95 already has the brake line so I'm going to chop it off
