Rough ride

I have a 99 mustang that rides horrible , when I hit the slightest bump it slams like I just hit a speed bump doing 80 . Anyone got any ideas and also did the 99 come with quad shocks

Replace shocks/struts. Might need some bushings too. Bald tires will make it rough on bumbs

My rear end does that, unfortunatley my shocks have already been replaced. they were supposed to be OEM replacements but i think its just that the shocks i got are too strong

Same thing happens with my 96 vert. Forsure you might need to replace the shocks. When i replaced mine i put KYB cause it was the cheaper choice. I took it to a spot in the freeway where it always slammed on me before i changed them and it still slammed. So clearly KYB is not a good choice. I put KONI shocks and struts on my 94 GT took it to the same spot and no slamming.. Even with the lowering springs.

Point of my story is you get what you pay for. KYB sucks. KONI's are definitely a good choice. AmericanMuscle.com has the koni shocks and struts for a steal. Check it out.

Our cars always ride a little rough though, I drove a few from 94 - 04 and thought they all felt kind of the same but the first time I got in a SN97 I couldn't believe how smooth it felt.

Yea. I have the stock quads on mine. My car is literally in the first 20 that were made in 93 to introduce the all new 5.0. The quads usually last longer than the shocks and struts but it's your choice on switching them out. Replacing them would probably improve your handling on take off though.
