How to take these off?

I want to repaint these, due to the chipped paint, fade and rust. One is my windshield bar(?) and the other is the trim. Can anyone help?

For the windshield wiper arms, see that pin at the base? You have to pull it out and then it should come off, thats what i had to do to mine

How do you take it off? Wedge it with a screw driver or something?

Its that little thing at the base of the wiper arm that sticks off the side a little, and id try using your fingers first and it that dont work use a flat head and use slight steady pressure outwards, its fairly easy just take your time so you dont crack the cowl panel or hurt the wiper arm

Yea, I need to sand mine cuz the paint is chipping and what not. I'm not sure how a gloss coat would look on mine.. I don't want it to look funky lol
