Dont Know What Gas Cap To Get

It's time for me to get a gas cap but idk If I should get the cap that locks or the one that doesn't. The one that locks is $20 and some change and the one that doesn't lock is $14 and some change. I don't know what I should do. And yes it's a dumb thread lol. I care where my money goes. Lol

And living here in jersey it is SUPER annoying having to hand the gas attendant your keys when you get gas, and gas attendants don't give a **** so when they go to open the cap your keys are swinging under the fuel door scratching up the paint if you get what I mean

+1m ^ Locking gas caps blow. I was getting the code recently on my locking gas cap and was having a hard time unscrewing it to get it off. It kept on ratchiting and not grabbing.

So last week I stopped to get gas and it took me 20 minutes to get that piece of crap off sitting at the pump .

I went straight home after that mess and put my stock fuel cap back on that I had kept and threw that locking turd with the keys in the trash.

Youll never really see someone pump there own gas up here cuz you cant, gas attendants either have to swipe there card or enter a code to activate the pump.. all the gas stations have signs that clearly state "pumping your own gas in against the law"..
it's always funny when I see someone getting out to pump there own gas especially in summer cuz everyone's giving them that "Benny go home" stare lmao

U know your fuel door light will come on for any leak in the evap system... It doesn't mean it's your fuel cap, mine came on for the solenoid for my carbon catch can,

These are mostly highway miles, I'm planning on getting new tires and change my struts and shocks that should push me over 300 a bit. Before my CAI I was doing a solid 250 per fill up. All on regular gas

That sucks! Hahah you have to get smogged every 2 years and they completely go through your car, they look under the car and j side the engine bay. Unless you know someone that will look away from that part of your engine then you won't pass the visual inspection but will pass the emissions. You have to pass both to be legal. You can only have a CAI or headers if it is CARB stamped and you MUST have cats.

I would rather have the locking gas cap. There always is some t*rd out there that likes to scr*w with nice cars. It just might keep him walking down the road.

Might save some poor soul a whole lot of medical bills.

I got mine from here http://www.stangmods.com/Ford-Mustan...04-p/00705.htm about a year ago and never had any issues. I got put off by folk saying they were having issues so ended up paying a bit more for mine. I guess you get what you pay for.

Highly unlikely anyone would lose both keys at the same time. Basic common sense to keep them separate.

Well that's what I'm saying. I don't wanna spend something cheap and have it break on me weeks later. I want what my money can buy me

What a sad world we live in that we would have to lock a gas cap!
