Under the hood

So my sis wants to take my stang to her high school car show, I want to give the engine some detail any one got some ideas? I was thinking putting in a strut bar. I'm getting caster camber plates because I lowered it and also it gives a nice touch. Pics of engine bays are welcome thanks!

a painted front strut bar would be a nice touch! Try and search Engine Dress up for your year and see what comes up! Love to see some pics afterwards!

Let it sit and dry in the hot son for several hours after spraying the engine bay. Also cover the coil pack and other importants.

Water will sit in the spark plugs wells and usually cause misfires. Just leave ot with the hood popped in the su all day and you should be good.

Really its best to not use a pressure washer on the engine, but do it by hand.

stick to a 275/40/17 or you'll mess with your speedo

yeah i can tell the tire is a bit stretched...but that's to be expected since you're running a skinnier tire on that wheel then it does from factory. unless those are off of an 05+ then that's their size from factory but still aren't as wide as they should be on your GT stock

Yea They came with 235/55/17 dose that mean the rim is wider? I think the rim is from 05+

What size tire you need to run on bullits? My front two are the silver bullits which are off the 05+ and my backs are black bullits... I'm running the 235/55/17 all the way around right now cause I didn't have another set of tires and I took em off the 05 gt rims I had the backs are 17/9 fronts are 17/8

---------- Post added at 09:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:20 AM ----------

Is 255/40/17 right?

I don't allow my engine to accumulate too much dust. I wipe it down after every wash.

the only things I've ever heard of are things like coke~cola, PB blaster things like that. I haven't noticed any corrosion on my engine, but I dont think I've ever actually gotten to the metal yet, last time I tried to clean it up with that Gunk brand gel crap I didn't notice any change at all really. i need something better...that won't mess up my engine. then as I take parts off I'm going to start coating it with some paint and clear so it will never be that hard to clean again
