Cool convertible problems

I have an 02 V-6 convertible. My problem is the top won't go down. I don't know if it's the motor or cyliders. Anyone who has had this problem please give me advice. Thanks.

First things first, do you have the emergency brake in the engaged position (up)??

If so, then

Remove your back seat and inspect the convertible motor (small cylinder). Does it make any noise when you try to lower the top? Or nothing at all?

Check the fuse before you take the back seat out...

Thanks for the advice. Yes I always have the emergency brake on and windows down. The motor does make a whining sound. Will check out my fuse before taking out the back seat.

Had a problem like that with my brothers old v6. What worked for me fixing it was to pop out the tab and put more hydraulic oil in the cylinder.
