I just hit something on the road it was a can and it had some sort of liquid in it, it got all over the bottom of my car and I had smoke coming out from what looked to be in front of the headlights cause it was at night. Any idea what this could be? I was asked if I was burning oil but I have no idea what that ment? Can someone help me out thanks!

How big was this can? Can you see anything leaking out of the car, from underneath? It sounds like liquid just got on the engine and evaporated. Stuff is hot under there when the car is running.

not sure but I'd say about a size of a soup can. It smells like sort of cinnamony and sweet while I'm driving

What are your gauges showing? Is the car running hot? It might have knocked a hole in the radiator, or a hose.

Maybe it was pumpkin pie in a can. That would explain the cinnamon.

Haha. Well, as long as nothing is leaking, then it was probably the smell of it burning on your motor.

Hah. Good ol' exhaust leaks. I don't blame you. I'd be fretting, too. If there isn't anything noticeable, though, and everything seems normal, then it's probably nothing. Just keep your ears open when you're driving it, and make sure everything acts as it normally does.
