Free mods

So, I'm thinking about going on the cheep side to see what I can get lol. Are there any free-$20 mods I can do? This weekend I'm doing the pedal adjustment mod, other than that, what can be done? All input is welcome. I have a 2001 v6

Free: take Spoiler off, take the silencer out of the intake, remove pin stripe/weather stripping/door panel protector (if you have them) weight reduction, cut springs.

Under $20: Paint calipers, plasti dip anything, tint tail lights.

I kinda like my spoiler, and silencer from my intake? What's that? I'm cutting my springs and painting my calipers at the same time, I have paint already. I have plasti dip lol. And tinting in nj is illegal :/

Oh, but there's a silencer in ur intake to keep it quieter. If you cut it out its like a CAI and u can hear it sucking in air... There's a thread on here on how to. Its really easy

Does it help air flow? Or just for sound? I have an aftermarket CAI..

What part? I live in the pine Barron's and I know a friend of my girlfriend who gets filled over all the time for her windows. Cops around here, at least, don't like them. Maybe I'll only put 2 coats of nightshade on. That should tint them, but not really dark, right?

South jersey. I got tint never had a problem tail lights are tinted. No cats or mufflers. They won't pull you over unless you give them a reason

It does nothing noticeable for airflow. Even the sucking sound is almost impossible to hear. I messed with the silencer on both my mustangs. Both ended up getting cold air intakes.

The only thing it will do is help you kill 5 minutes of your time. A cold air kit can be had for as little as 50 bucks.

Buut....since you have a cai, then none of this applies to you as you dont have a silencer for your cai anyway.

if you have the factory air box though a drop in filter and pulling the sound your would be a great upgrade though.unfortunately for $20 there's not a whole lot you can do I would just keep saving and use what you have now

Ok. I just wasn't sure if you could do other mods such as the pedal one I mentioned before, where you need around 75 cents worth of material lol

Pull the lever on the side of the pivot arm, pull off the wiper then angle it down a couple degrees and reinstall.

I like it too. I like the doors cuz they can serve as a bumper. It's already kinda chipped on one side so that is the main reason I got it. Then I got all creative and did the trunk lol
