gas milage!

okay I don't understand . my 02 3.8 with 69,000 miles is getting on average 16 miles to the gallon. everything seems to be running and operating great. I barely get on it and I shift well below 3000rpm. I don't understand why its so low? anybody have any ideas? no lights on doesn't smell rich or anything. I cant figure it out.

It's about half and half highway/city. But still 16 seems pretty low. No mods. Completely stock.

I'm bouncing around between 17-19 right now (50/50 hwy/city as well) and I have a divorced dual exhaust and a CAI. Sticker on the V6 was around 15-17 city if I remember right

I get 280 miles per a full tank. 2000 v6 vert 5speed . CAI and good tires make a big difference. These are highway.

As do I. I sit around 29-30mpg highway @70-75mph. City is averaging 23.
