cobra rear end

Could I fit a cobra rear end in my 04 v6 stang or does it have to be from a gt??

You could do a irs swap. From what I understand it is not quite as easy as doing an 8.8 swap, and obviously a good bit more expensive. But an irs is much better for handling. I'm actually glad the 2015's will be ditching the current setup and going irs.

You will need to change your driveshaft flange, shocks, springs, and exhaust. If it comes with all that plus all brackets and hardware it might be worth it.

I wish I remember where I saw a detailed wright up on I.R.S. at. No much beats independent rear suspension. Wasn't a car called wildstang or something like that, that had irs?

Which cobra rear end? Not all of the years of Cobra's came with IRS from what I've seen.

All 99-04 cobras had rear end for the exception of the 2000 cobra r

Wrong. All 99-04 cobras including the r had irs.
99/01 cobra and 00R had 28 spline diff and 31 spline hubs. 03/04 cobra had 31 spline diff and hub.
