metal box under passenger side fire wall?

What is the metal box above the passenger tire?

new engine,1.7 rocker arms,Pipes exhaust, shorty cats , shorty headers,under drive and overdrive pulleys,4.2 upper plenum, throttle body spacer, cold air intake, stage one clutch, shorty shifter, and tune. 8.8 in storage

It controls a/c and other things has two 5mm's holding in place.. Or four don't remember exactly. You can bang on it if your clutch for the a/c stops working and sometimes it'll start working again.

Thanks for being informative. Now I know why it makes a noise when P.A.P.S. goes off. Dang, fuel pump cut off switch. Great we have AM and tunes. Speaking off tunes my new engine came out of Big2 with the timing wrong. New engine, bad work. I thought I got the C.P.S. wrong. What a wake up call. Appreciate the help.
Nice to drive again.
