I can't tell dude. That's why I asked if it was a new paint job. I should have done that first instead of dropping $1200 for a new paint job

Are you flushing the system, or simply dumping the fluid in the pumps container? If your simply removing a line and draining the power steering container, there's still fluid in the lines, and in the rack/piston by the front suspension. Your fresh fluid in the container will turn black as soon as you start the engine and spin the pump, mixing the small amount of fluid in the pump container with the old fluid in the system. Using a flushing station will truly flush the system of all fluid. Some folks remove the return line from the pump, start the engine, and point the line into a bucket. I would not do this for long, as the pump will pump itself dry withing a short period. You could perhaps do some pump damage running it dry.

can't be too expensive to take it to a shop and have them do a true flush by connecting the return line to a device that removes all the old fluid and pumps in new fresh stuff.

I think it's most of the colors, I know mine is the same way. Then again, I don't know about you guys, but iirc Fords designation for my color is Redfire Pearl Metallic. So that may have somethign to do with mine, dunno.

i had a local shop just dual straight pipe my car for a few weeks out the side...simple, and cheap for a dual exhaust. downside it's very loud and annoying after a while.

as for the laying down part eh after a few cars i don't mind if a model wants to lay on it. you learn to pick them up and lay them down on strong points so they don't dent anything.
