Painting Rims

Found a steal on Saleen chrome wheels with tires. I was going to originally get the black saleens from AM but I can't pass this offer up. How would you recommend painting them to be similar to the black ones on AM (not the matte).

Honestly, if you got those for a really good price, I'd resell them for more and save up for the black chrome saleens you want

Agree with selling them. Unless you got them for only $100 under what it would cost for black. You can get them powder coated. Or sell no matter what and get new black ones with the tire of your choice if they aren't what you want.

Unless they are in rough shape, leave them. Like it was said earlier, save some money and then sell them when you have enough for the black ones you want. Chrome is nearly impossible to paint. You would need to either chemically strip them or sand blast them first. If you just prime and paint it will flake off after a year or so. Powder coat is the best rout. But you are going to pay $50 to $100 per rim for PC. Money you could just stick into new rims.

You can plasti dip them and use the glossifier, then they won't look matte like plasti dip usually looks
