Tire damage

So I put a fuel canister on my '97 and I was wondering if this would hurt the tire in any way. I used the stock mount for some sort of runner bumper but I could drill some holes an back it up more if needed. The canister is about 2 inches away from the tire and it looks like it won't touch even if the struts compress all the way. Just want some opinions

I don't think it'll hit. The tire only should go up or down not back and forth.. So you should be good!

I thought the same but double checked to be sure. I jacked up the strut as far as it went up and it didn't even come close. Thanks bro
