My sixxer ran 16 flat stock so I guess the difference is you're talking street vs a prepped track

Unless it is connected with the OBD2 system and using the mileage counter of the car, I wouldn't even come close to trusting the accuracy of any of the "1/4 mile time" apps

The app uses ur phones GPS to track ur location and with ur phones built-in accelerometers but that's for an iPhone.

Still it can't be close to accurate..that's why I assume you're time posted is way off. Like I said stock I was running much quicker.

Civilian gps is not very accurate, there is a large margin of error. (I believe between 100-400 feet) For that reason, it cannot correctly give information (1/4 mile time) that requires very precise measurements.

I guided fire for 155mm Howitzers, even the gps systems that the military has access to wouldn't be accurate enough to calculate quarter mile times. That why we had to calculate firing coordinates manually.

That's what I wanted to hear a breakdown of why it won't be as accurate thanks. So should my times be quicker than, my tires didn't catch as quick as they would in a track.

Your times will always be better at a track. The prepped surface makes a huge difference. Good luck when you get to a strip!
